Standards & Ethical Principles 

Purpose To inform stakeholders of the standards and ethical principles to which Progressus Community CIC adheres to.


Progressus Community CIC recognises the diversity of backgrounds and requires all providers and deliverers of our services to be just and fair. Progressus Community CIC respects human rights and dignity and adheres to legal requirements and obligations. All professionals delivering Progressus Community CIC services are expected to uphold the professional behaviour and principles as set out below. 


Accountability:  Progressus Community CIC is accountable for the services delivered and must submit themselves to appropriate scrutiny appropriate to their role. Progressus Community CIC will act in the interest of the community it serves, and will exercise integrity, honesty and diligence. 


Competence:  Progressus Community CIC appoints staff to practice at a level that enables them to provide an effective and appropriate service offer. 


Confidentiality:  Progressus Community CIC respects the privacy of individuals. Individuals must be informed of the limits of confidentiality and data-sharing at the outset. Disclosure of information will only be made with informed consent or when required to do so by law. 


Safeguarding:  Progressus Community CIC believes everyone has a responsibility to promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, to keep them safe and practise in a way that reduces harm and protects them. Click here for the child protection system in England. 


Continuous Professional Development:    Progressus Community CIC will deploy staff to deliver services who are appropriately professionally qualified/trained and possess the necessary competence, knowledge and skills through participation in continuous professional development informed by reflective practice. 


Equality:  Progressus Community CIC will actively promote equality and diversity and endeavour to remove barriers arising from prejudice, stereotyping and discrimination. 


Transparency:   Progressus Community CIC will provide services and activities in an open and transparent manner. 


Trustworthiness:  Progressus Community CIC will act in the accordance with the trust placed in the service offer. We will ensure clients and stakeholders expectations are met, and honour agreement and promises.
